An Irish school teacher has blown the whistle on the 'hijacking' of the Irish education system by ideological extremists.

Seamus Michael is a serving secondary school teacher who has revealed to JK Lunden of the Natural Women's Council how Ireland's classrooms are quietly being re-purposed as ideological training grounds.

He describes political indoctrination through curriculum, culture and training, all whilst parents are kept in the dark.

"You can call me Seamus Michael, I teach engineering. I am a member of the Teachers Union of Ireland. I also teach a little bit of CSPE (Civic, social and political education)," he began the riveting interview.

The educator first spoke about the brainwashing which is being imposed in relation to the basics of human biology.

"Education is being hijacked and the schools are becoming, or could potentially become, breeding grounds for activists and activism. Not only are there attempts being made to indoctrinate pupils, there's also attempts being made to indoctrinate teachers as well," he said.

"There's a push to make teachers use things like preferred pronouns and buy into ideologies that weren't there just a few years ago.

"There is now talk that teachers will receive anti-bias training, which is sugar coated as anti-racism training. But everybody is entitled to form an opinion and every opinion is a bias. So I would consider it as anti-opinion training.

"Teachers have had outside groups come into them and do training with them, in some cases, I don't know, made to do training. One group that has come into schools is 'Belong To,' who spoke at staff meetings and they were advised on how to use pronouns and ideology.

"Teachers were told to do online training, which I and a few teachers I know declined to do."

ree

'Belong To' is Ireland's trans activist youth organisation, meant to be supporting LGBTQI plus youth.

"I think they might meet with pupils occasionally as well, schools get the Q mark for, well, we're told if all teachers do this training. That is what they promote- this ideology," he added.

Ms Lunden asked: "Do the schools promote it?"

"Yes every year around November, there's a 'stand up' week, it usually culminates on a Friday- with a non-uniform day. They may get the first years to wear one colour of the (rainbow) flag and the second years to wear another colour. So you might have the first years in red, second years yellow, third years green and so on.

"In some cases, a child who doesn't want to come in like that is told to come in in uniform."

ree

Ms Lunden asked: " So it stands out who is not supporting this?"

The teacher replied: "It depends on the school, in some schools kids might just come in in any colour at all, but the point I am making is that it's a non-uniform day, it is a distraction in the school and teachers will tell you, pupils are never as focused on a non-uniform day. Teachers need to just deliver a curriculum."

"Did you opt to do this 'Belong To'' training?" asked Ms Lunden.

"I declined to do it. I had concerns about what was in it. A conscientious objection," he said.

"Are there visuals in the school to change the culture and language?" was the next question.

"There are. Teachers might get emails and they are offered the opportunity to put an 'ally sticker' , a little sticker with the six colours, that they can put on the door of the classroom," he replied.

"There are teachers who don't want that sticker. It is easy to identify what teachers don't buy into this."

Ms Lunden said: ''And the opposite of an ally is an enemy. Which is a perception could end up in students minds..."

Mr Michael said he turned down the sticker.

"I declined it. A lot of students aren't buying into this ideology. Many students said to me they are fed up with 'Stand Up' week and they think it is wrong, the whole ideology.

"Students have said they think it is wrong that men could end up in women's changing rooms. And they use strong words. But I do agree with them. Men should not be near women's spaces."

"Were you consulted if you wanted any of this?" asked Ms Lunden.

"You get an email but it is obvious if you don't want it, who you are. As teachers we need to just focus on curriculum but more and more it is being migrated away from," he replied.

""This is being imposed on you in line with diversity?" she asked.

"Yes," was the response.

"I would feel that it's discriminatory because by their measure, if you are not being inclusive, you're excluding yourself," the teacher continued.

"I teach children, a subject, that's what it should be about. Nothing else...

"We have also received some documentation from TENI (Transgender Equality Network Ireland), I didn't really look at it. 'Transforming the classroom'......whatever that is about??"

ree

Ms Lunden stated: "We had another whistleblower who stated that TUI (Teachers Union Ireland) has been hijacked by people with very extreme views. The whistleblower said it had become very politicised in the union, with people handing out communist party leaflets. The website urges people to attend political marches..."

Mr Michael replied: "I was on the executive committee from 2014-2016. I believe the union has expanded into extracurricular activity, and that the focus of the union should be on protecting their paying membership.

"A union is supposed to be apolitical. Flags for Ukraine and Palestine, I don't think that should be happening in schools. We are a neutral country. You can have children from (opposing) countries in a classroom."

Ms Lundedn added that: "Moral beliefs of teachers and families are being suppressed by schools. The belief that there are only two sexes. What do you see as an over-reach whereby the State is trying to take over the role of mother and father?"

ree

"Pupils and teachers are bing told what to think, not how to think," the teacher replied.

"And I think there are too many diagnoses also- ADHD etc. Einstein would repeat questions before answering, nowadays he would be given a diagnosis. Talented people do things differently. It is stifling the creativity of kids."

"Over diagnosis- someone might be just a bit quirky- too many diagnosis are being done today. It's not fair.

Ms Lunden pointed out: "Teaching kids that they can question if they are in the right body...."

Mr Michael responded: "This ideology- people say ' well people are entitled to believe whatever they like' -well, that is actually not true. I don't have the right to believe that you are a woman...because that is a fact.

"I have to accept that fact and by extension of that fact, I am not allowed into your bathroom.

"To tell a young child something like that is an absolute absurdity, and those that get you to believe absurdities will later get you to commit atrocities.

"We have had criminal acts committed by men against women in their own spaces. A lot of children do not accept this ideology and they are saying it."

Ms Lunden added: "Book and phones get locked up in schools. Kids cannot take pictures or record the material. There is class contracts where kids are asked to sign a class contract. On the NCCA document, it says what happens in the classroom, stays in the classroom. There is a clear subversion of parental rights, Are parents of aware what's happening?"

The teacher made a final, impassioned plea: "I feel sorry for parents. They are working hard to make ends meet and they trust the school to do what's best for their kids. Some are aware, some aren't. I can see this coming in slowly. The quality of the books written for schools these days are very badly written.

"Even young students are pointing this out. The ideologies being pushed are in these books. BLM, white supremacy, climate.

"Books are telling kids what to think, not how to think. There has to be resistance against this.

"UK courts have said a woman is born, not worn. Police are resisting. America has abolished DEI. If a teacher tells a pupil they are born in the wrong body, they face criminal prosecution. Men are not allowed in women's spaces. Two sexes is now written into the US Constitution.

"Companies that sell puberty blockers are now being followed up. People need to write letters, get onto the schools and politicians. Make this an election issue."
